A couple of years ago i purchased a new dodge dakota. The dealer financed it thru "FIFTH THIRD BANK". This was not known to me @ the time as i have very good credit.
At the time of purchase i was offered a maintenance contract. I agreed to it and an additional $1800 or so was added to the contract & would be drawing interest.
I later decided to cancel the maintenance contract, as i didn't like what i was reading on the car loan with 53rd bank! A pay off, on the loan, would NOT save any interest! No matter what, i was stuck for the full amount of the loan.
When i canceled the maintenance agreement i was told i would be credited for that amount against the car loan. I never got anytning in writting. I am sending them a letter requesting a new #2 payment boof reflecting the credit or a check for the amount of the refund. I don't think they can charge me for the maintenance contract as i don't have it! What about the interest too?
