My company, Love That Clicks, contracted the Agency to do canvassing work for us in the Washington DC area. The contract stated that they would provide 3 reps for 4 hours each on September 8th, 11th, and 17th 2008. I went to meet the reps on the 8th. They were at the wrong location so I had to go find them. Then I found that there were only 2 reps. The third never arrived. The 2 reps that they did send had no experience canvassing. I sent them out with fliers.
I called that afternoon and spoke with Rachel Koontz of The Agency. I told her what happened and explained that we would no longer be working with them. I told her I expected a refund and she said that that should be no problem. I didn't hear back from her so I contacted her on the 12th via email. She told me that she had spoken with her boss and could not issue a refund because the event had already started before we cancelled it. I told her I would like to talk to this boss. She said I would be contacted by them.
I waited until the 15th and asked her again if I should expect to hear from them. She said I would. I never did. I have even agreed to pay the $40 per hour that they request for the two completely inexperienced reps that they sent for 3.5 hours each (I subtracted a half hour from each for waiting for the third rep and having to find them). The total we paid them originally was $1440. I have agreed to paying $280. I have asked for a refund of $1160.
This company has avoided attempted contacts from my lawyer and from the BBB. I know of two other complaints on here about them and I would like to work together to fight this company. I know in one report the owners name was given but no contact info. Could we get this? I've also placed a complaint with the attorney general's office. They are obviously using multiple DBA names. Some I've seen are Promo Marketing
