I was also a victim of this company.
I received an email from this company regarding an event that needed promotional models in Washington, DC on 8/9/08 from 10am-9pm. I accepted the job on 8/5/08 and completed the required contract/W-9 on 8/7/08. I received an email back from Rachel Kuntz (no longer employed) on 8/8/08 thanking me for submitting all the required documents and stating that payment will be sent within 30-60 days but it may take up to 90 days to receive payment because summer is the busiest season.
On 10/8/08, I sent an email to Rachel asking about payment. I received an email back stating that she was no longer employed with the company. I sent 2 emails to others in the company that day and called and left several messages. Yet none of my emails or phone calls have ever been returned.
I submitted a complaint to the Attorney General's Office. You should do the same to get some of the money back:

As for payment, we typically send payment within 30-60 day of the event. As summer is our busiest time, it may take up to 90, however that is only in rare cases. We will send your check in a timely manner?

I have written several emails, left several voicemails, and no one has returned my call regarding payment of the event I worked on 8/9 from 10am-9pm at a rate of $22.50.
I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office and copying the company that requested your services because they should be aware of your fraudulent activities.
Apparently, there are others all over the U.S. That have been victims of this scam: http://usacomplaints.com/reports/0/350/RipOff0350521.htm.
I hope that we can get some sort of class action suit against you and prevent others from being harmed. Luckily, I have saved every email conversation which would make it easy to prove the breach of contract.
