I received a letter from this company, Union Workers Credit Services, and went online and applied. However, I did not receive any email confirmation, which is pretty much standard with ANY online application through legitimate companies.
I didn't send my check in. However, looking over the online application again, I noticed the following which was an indication of this fraud and something to ALWAYS take note of, (this was taken out of a final disclosure at the bottom of the application page).
"you certify the information diclosed and agree to notify". The word 'disclosed' was misspelled. While this may not be noticeable, it is important to note that legitimate companies use proof readers before any text goes out and if they've done their job correctly it will go out correct.
I didn't notice this until I went back to review. So, word to the wise. Look over the WHOLE disclosure AND all of the presented information AND follow-up online with research before you apply for ANY company online. Buyer beware and researcher be wise!
