If you buy from Brookstone, their off shore products are poorly manufactured and likely to not work or to break after you get it home.
And Brookstone will NOT stand behind its own brand of products so beware!
They buy so many off shore, Pacific rim countries' cheapie products from international vendors like Global Sources that they would NEVER honor the craftsmanship or reliability of their OWN products! So buyer beware! You buy it, better be ready to lose your money.
We purchased an ipod "Songpak" manufactured exclusively for and branded as a Brookstone product. It did not work but after 30 days they would not take back the product nor allow for its repair ("we don't do THAT).
We were even willing to PAY for the repair but again Brookstone said "we don't do that". Brookstone is an anti-consumer company based in New Hampshire but with outlets in every mall in the nation. They entice you with their "interesting" credible-looking products but you might as well be on a street in China buying from an outdoor street vendor who is gone after the sale. Brookstone likely will NEVER honor its sale nor stand behind its product.
These are the corporate chieftains who are behind this anti-consumer company. Buyers, consumers Beware!

Mr. Woodward, VP Merchandising, especially should be embarassed with his name attached to selling such poor merchandise.
