So I heard on the radio about this dealership that would pay off the rest of your lease if you drive away in one of their cars... So I called, and took a 1 hr drive to this dealership to check it out.
Once I explained my situation, 1) I still owed $ on my lease, 2)*most importatly* I had gone over my milage and I made sure to ask if that money would also be covered. I was told by 2 (two) different people there "oh, no problem! That shouldn't be a problem at all! They'll just be happy you're paying off your lease early! I'm telling you, don't worry about it. It's taken care of."
So I drove my new car home, and had to pick up my leased car the next day and take it back to the dealership with whom it was leased, and what happens? The gentleman doing the turn-in process paperwork informs me that I still owe $3,300.00 on my lease, and no one had EVER contacted the lease company to question the information I had given them about the mileage on the car, the amount left to pay on the car or anything!!! So now, it has been a little over one week since I got this new car, and NOTHING has been done by the Hyundai dealership, and so here I am, calling EVERY DAY several times a day, "chasing after" both the salesman who sold me the car (Steve), and the guy who is "supposedly" still trying to find out which bank will re-finance me (and just add the $3,300.00 onto my present payments... Yeah, what a solution when they promised me it would all be covered), and STILL not getting an answer! So, long story short, I was sold a vehicle under false pretenses, and I am filing a complaint with the BBB, and seriously considering hiring an attorney! If you come accross this dealership, just be careful of the cut-throat, money hungry conartists who work there. Just remember they're just trying to make that extra buck!
