Better Business Bureau BBB of San Antonio & Mr. Richard Musgrave Travelbribge of Texas. A bunch of frauds working together to rip-off consumers
I received a phone call on the first week of Oct. 2000 offering a free trip to Vegas or Mexico for two where I only need to attend a seminar of Travelbribge of Texas, 4625 Centerview
San Antonio.
I aggred to attend the reunion without any obligation as I was told.
On Oct 14 My wife and I attened the meeting in the Travelbridge office with about 30 other couples.
This was High Pressure Sales metting. The person in charge was Mr. Richard Musgrave, operating in the name of Travelbridge. He promisse the lowest airline tickets and 12% to 50% in commission upgrade accomodation for travel agents and much more. THis all seemed like a great deal!
I told Richard Musgrave that I would be willing to become an associatte agent but I would like to first get in touch with BBB of San Antonio. He agered but he insisted that I need to pay now, upfront at least a 50 % with a check and I will be able to put a stop payment if any negative information was found in Travelbridge records with the Better Business Bureau. If I did not write the check now, I would loose the benifits they were offering.
I did make a check for $1,647.00 half of the total of $3294.00 to cover the cost for me and my wife to be members.
Monday 16 Oct I called San Antonio BBB office at 210-828-9441 and requested inside information on any Travelbridge Agency in USA.
Better Business Bureau told me that Travelbridge were a great company not only in Texas but also in the USA and all over the world. To listen to this person, you would think they were and agent of Travelbridge! I didn't cancel the check becuse, I trusted the BBB. So, at that time I had paid the total franchise for me and my wife to be members of Travelbridge.
Then, to make things worse, when I wanted to visit friends and family in Panama, thinking I could get the tickets much cheaper and I could get a comission if I buy the tickets through Travelbridge, this was not the case at all. THe tickets ended up to be hundreds of dollars higher and there was no comission to be made!
I am a senior citizen on a limited income and have lived in San Antonio for many years. It is a shame that so many consumers like me are under a false impression about the Better Business Bureau. THey are a fraud and are very misleading. The Better Business Bureau caused me much grief and a grat loss because of their lies.
I whish I would have found the reports listed on the consumer complaints web site sooner. I knew others must have had problems with Travelbribge of Texas, so when i put the words Better Business Bureau rip-off, your web site came up. If I only knew.
How is it you have so many reports on your web site on Travelbridge and Better Business Bureau has none? Others claim they reported this to the BBB. What is the BBB doing with complaints?
Four months agoI filed a claim against Mr. Richard Musgrave and Travelbridge with the BBB. To this day I have heard nothing, and if you call the BBB, they will tell you Travelbridge has a satisfactory rating! Is the BBB working for Travelbridge?
To anyone who wants to know the real story on the BBB. Go to this web sites search engine to "Searh the consumer complaintss" and put the words BBB & Better Business Bureau in the company name box. You will never want to call the BBB again after reading all the reports filed against them.
