I recieved a letter saying that I had won $57,000 on an internet sweepstakes and to call the number on the letter. Once I did this it sounded so legit that I went to the bank to confirm that there was money to be had. The lady at the bank said to double check with the police station to make sure but that as far as the bank could tell it seemed real. Once I talked to the police they said that it was in fact a scam and that I didnt win anything. I fill out alot of things online and thought that I very well could've won because I fill out so many.
But I was so excited for a whole weekend that I told everyone I know about it. And now just look like a fool. And now I am very depressed and feel so used. I hope that whoever started this feels guilty for the rest of their lives for fooling inocent people into believing them and putting the inclosed check in the bank only to be taken back, probably with their identity.
So people beware and if anything comes from this place Do Not Fall For It!
