Allen and Sons came to our home to repair two dented panels in our new Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer. This was a brand new machine that was delivered with two dented panels in front. On the first visit, the service tech tried to convince me that the dents in the panel were part of the design. When my husband and I asked him to compare the design of the washer to the dryer, he agreed to order replacement panels.
On the second visit, the same tech replaced the lower panel, but attempted to straighten the bent panel by banging and banging on the new machine. When he was done, he asked me to look at it and said it's not so bad. He finally agreed to change the panel.in the process of taking the door off and putting it back on, he damaged another the panel.
When I looked at the finished work, I noticed it was dented in the exact same place. When I asked him if he put the old panel on by mistake or on purpose, he had no response. He just looked at me. Then he saw the dent, he said it's not that bad!
When confronted all he could say was "order new panel!" His manager was supposed to call me back and never did. An assistant left a message saying the Tech failed to inspect the new panel before installing it - and it was damaged too! Imagine that - the new panel - which was delivered wrapped in foam in a cardboard box was damaged in the exact same place as the original! Quite the coincidence! I'm shocked that Whirlpool would use a company as unethical as this. I suggest you stay far away from these people!
