The company set up the time for delivery of the furniture I had Paid for in full. They gave themselves 3 weeks from the time of purchase to have it in the store and to schedule for delivery. The delivery charge was 79.99 for less than 2 miles form the store which was outrageous.
By the end of the final week the furniture was promised to de in the store I called the store because no one had contacted me. I was then told part of the items were not in stock and that it would be another 4 weeks if not more and another 79.99 delivery charge would have to be paid.
Basically the attitude was SOL, so I canceled the whole order and contacted my credit card company and they credited my account. Hank's withheld $ 894.50 from the credit on my account for SO CALLED RESTOCKING FEES.
How can you charge restocking fees for items not in stock in the first place. The amount was 25% of the entire purchase. No other furniture company in town charges a restocking fee and this is just plain fraud. They know the items are not in stock when they charge you.
