Ordered on Internet 9/9/08 two Buxton over the shoulder organizer leather handbags. The site would not allow any orders other than the initial order to be a black one, and then after that first order would allow the order of colors that were available. I really just wanted to order a red one, but thought that Buxton is a good company and product and customer service would be fine.

As I went through the order process I was prompted before being allowed to check out and submit the order to indicate if I did or didn't want other specific products. One was an upgrade for and additional $10. But the info was so vague that I chose not to order that (thank goodness).

I chose not to order the "free" voice recorder because I didn't want to pay the shipping/handling charge.

In the end I ordered by charge card a black purse, and a red purse. The red purse was listed as being discounted in price. As far as shipment, I indicated expediated delivery. Cost for purses was $34.90 and cost for delivery was $23.74. No indication given as to delivery time (even with expediated) and info stated 2-6 weeks!

I called Buxton to ask how long was expediated delivery supposed to take and was told could be 2 or more weeks. I said I could buy the bag on E-Bay and get it in a few days. Then I asked to cancel order. I was told I couldn't cancel the order since it wasn't processed yet.

Today I called Buxton back. Turns out the order went in 9/9 and was shipped on 9/12. Today is 9/15. It already showed up on my charge card statement. Was given no info on tracking it so asked for tracking number. Asked how it went out... Was told Fed Ex Smart Post. Tried to enter my 22 numbers and nothing came up. So called back Buxton to confirm tracking order. Then they gave me phone number of place to call at Fed Ex. Had to leave a voice mail message there and never got a call back.

Reason I ordered was I am going overseas and wanted to take the bags. Probably won't come at all til I have already gone and come back. From things I have read (after the fact) maybe I should carry some big safety pins to keep it from falling apart. Wish I had never ordered the bags, and I don't even have them yet. My one recourse will be the fact I charged it and to dispute the transaction, if need be. But what a bother!!
