They offered a one week supply of their product for $4.95 shipping & handling.
I ordered it and my account was charged $4.95. Soon after that my account was charged an additional $74.95. I had not ordered or received anything else from this company.
I called them and was told the terms & conditions stated that I would have to cancel my subscription within ten days of ordereing. I didn't even remember seeing anything about terms & conditions on their web site, so I checked it out. There was only one little spot in the whole ad that mentioned terms & conditions with a prechecked box. It was barely noticelable.
I disputed the charges with my bank, and about a month after ordering the "free" sample, I received a 30 day supply of the product. When I found it in my p.O. Box I immediately returned it to the company. A week later I called the company to see if they had received the returned product. They told me they recieved it too late; it had to be returned within 30 days of my original order. I told them I didn't even receive it within that time period. They gave me some song and dance about how they use regular mail for shipping, etc.
I am now waiting to hear from the bank on the disputed charges.
