By telephone, I enlisted the company to sell my time share. I provided them with my Visa for a charge of $626.00 and was to receive a contract to be signed.
The contract and sales receipt were received several days later in the mail, however, the same day of our telephone communication (9/6) the charge was made to to my Visa account.
In the interim I learned that the company was not reputable and decided to request a refund and not sell my timeshare. It is my understanding that the law allows 7 days to rescind, and on 9/8 I called and emailed the company advising them to cancel. They agreed to refund $501.00 and retain $125.00 as an administrative fee.
On 9/12 I contacted them to find out when I would receive my refund. They said I could expect it to be credited back to my Visa account in a few days.
This morning I wrote to them again explaining that they have violated a Florida Statute and I demanded they credit my account for the entire amount of $626.00 informing them that they had processed the charge without written consent. No response as yet.
