Harvey armstrong, cathy stewart they need locking up unknown

Our report is very muc like all the others that have been filed and they all simularites that amount to the same thing. I thought for a while that with all the reports that have been filed so far it may seem a bit futile just adding this one to the list and then I thought again and here is my story;

My wife received a letter from a company portraying to be 'Publishers Clearing House' accompanied by an extremely authentic looking check for $5889, just like all the other reports, the letter said that my wife should call the number on the letter before banking the check and when she did she was told by a female that she was the winner of the third prize in a $15m sweepstake and her prize was one million dollars, my wife was told to go ahead and bank the check and then telephone the number again once she had done so.

Before I move on to tell you what happened when my wife telephoned back I want to mention that I examined the check with a fine tooth comb and it looked legitimate, whilst it looked as though the entire letter was printed on an inkjet printer the contents seemed geniuine. My wife took the check to the bank and it was accepted by the cashier, my wife returned from the bank and telephoned the number on the letter (as requested) and my wife was told that the company 'PCH' wanted to make arrangements to come to our home the following day with 'balloons', 'camera crew' 'champagne' etc etc then lady on the telephone then said 'Our team that is delivering the check will be traveling to your home from New York and they are not covered by any insurance to make the journey' my wife was told that the check she banked would be more than enough to cover the insurance for the team to travel and to be able to get the one million dollar check delivered the next day my wife had to transfer $2850 to an account that is supposedly the Insurance company. My wife told the person at 'PCH' that she would only be willing to do this once the check she had banked was honoured and the funds to cover the insurance premium for the delivery team to travel was in our account. Expecting the person to hang up and to my wifes amazement, the person agreed and told my wife that the million dollar check was there waiting for her as soon as she was ready to pay the Insurance premium.

In the meantime we were advised to look at this site to see if there were any reports filed on this subject and needless to say there are numerous reports all about the same type of scam. My wife went to the bank first thing this morning to report the matter to them to save getting any charges for a check that we knew would not be honoured. The bank manager was very helpful and told my wife that the check was 'flagged' on their system as fraudulent and my wife was right not to send the money for the so called insurance premium.

Sadly, we are one of the lucky ones and I say sadly because my heart goes out to the hundreds (if not thousands) of people who have fallen for this scam and lost money they couldn't afford to lose. Peoples hopes have been lifted by this scum and then dropped like a bad small. I find some of the reports that I have read extremely upsetting and quite frankly the thing that disgusts me most of all is that these low life parasites seem to be exempt from the law and in my opinion there is not enough being done to stop them and jail them.

All I can do is hope and pray that people who get these letters look at this site before they build their hopes up and lose any hard earned money and furthermore pray that the bastards are caught stealing from people and dealt with by the law.
