Melissa Nelson - Melissa Doyle - Melissa Nicole Nelson, Melissa Nicole Doyle - Salali - Valenbrenne Scam Artist Roommate

I had this person as a roommate for several months. At first, the stories were very believable, and being nice, I allowed them to stay with me in my 3 bedroom home. After a few months, and paying a few things here and there, everything became very hard. For two or three months during their residency, they paid all their bills. However, they still owed some for two and a half months of not paying, plus security.

After arguments ensued, we wrote an agreement stating the two and half month payments would be waived, along with the security, if they left by a certain date, in which this person signed willingly and without problems.

However the week they had to leave, problems became so huge that I was forced to cut them from the main house, and they were only allowed in their room and their bathroom. They had left for 2 days without word shortly before they were suppose to leave from the house permanently.

They had their own exit from the house, which goes through the backyard and around through the lenai, through the carport, and then out to the main street. They could leave and go whenever they want to. The doors on the inside were sliding glass doors, and were lockable from the outside, not the inside. After not hearing from them for 2 days, I found that their door was open, which could allow someone to easily break in. I locked it, and they could, at any time, knock on the front door to the main part of the house and ask to be let in, and everything would have been fine.

However, they came back and never came to the front door. Never talked, called, or even sent a text message. I figured they were just talking to the person they were in the car with, and thought nothing of it.
After 30 minutes, I get a knock on the door. Thinking it was them, I opened it, and there stood police officers.

Huge arguments broke out, especially when they tried lying about their leave date and how she had spoken to me prior to the police being called and that I refused to let them in.

After that night, nothing was the same.

The water bill isn't fixed, and we have to watch how long our showers last. One day she took 4 - 6 showers, and I went to talk to her. I knocked on her door twice, asked politely that I needed to speak with her now, and she refused to talk to me.

We had an argument, and she called the police right in front of me, telling them that I had threatened her with a knife and that she doesn't feel safe being in the home and that she wanted me to be arrested.

I was in shock that she would sit there and lie to a police officer right in front of me.

After another dispute with the police, I had contacted lawyer after lawyer and researched tenant and sub-tenant laws.

The person left without notice three days before the agreement we had signed together would have taken place.

I kept researching and talking to lawyers and found out some very useful information, which allowed it to be claimed as Abandonment. I wrote the letters of Abandonment, which were within the law templates that were provided from the Florida Statute.

After posting the letter, taking pictures of the damage in the room, several videos of mailing a letter to the person's parents home and leaving several in the locations they go to in the home (bathroom, lenai, and door in the backyard), I felt much better.

Heard no words from the tenant after the written agreement came and went, no words after the letter of Abandonment's date of clean-up, nothing.

With the help of my husband, sister, and her boyfriend we cleaned the room out only to find stolen credit cards, hotel keys, prostitution date books and client information, along with illegal pornography on the computer that was in the room. Maggots were everywhere, the bed was filthy, smelling of semen, sweat, mold, mildew, and other body secretions. Moldy food, dog feces, dog food, dirty clothes, even bloody tampons, used condoms, and other feminine hygiene products were strewn over everything in the room.

There was nothing worth saving in the room. Her belongings stayed in the room for 2 weeks after the date we agreed on and signed together, and then everything was thrown in the trash can.

All her belongings were there. Notebooks, passport, paperwork, bedding, clothes, shoes, everything.
I was able to sell a three dresser set that was in the carport that she was saving, but that did nothing to make up for the damage this person caused to this household.

About two months ago, I was online looking at ads on a website, and found an ad from this person stating that I had hit them repeatedly while they were pregnant and that's why they left, and that they were in the process of a restraining order and arrest papers on me.

Although I laughed and said, "I wish, " I never once hit this person, nor had ill-will towards them. I had helped this person out when they needed it, and I was ripped off in the end.

Please be VERY wary of allowing anyone to live in your home. Remember, after three days, they're a legal resident and don't have to leave unless you take legal action. I would advise against stranger roommates.

Now I am living with my sister and everything is going better than I could have imagined.
