I met Melissa in November. She was hauling my horses to her frineds boarding stable. I moved to Melissa barn after two weeks becasue the barn owner was feeding her horses my hay and grain. Melissa's barn was really filthy. Horses were nailed shut in their stalls and the ilse way was crowed with junk, trash, neadles and a Great dane she said would not eat. It's mate was dead and had been put in the huge manure pile in the back of the barn with it's legs tied together to prevent it from stifing up she said. I fed the great dane and he ate. I put him on Craigslist and he was adopted. Due to her draft horses running over the poor dog he had many brolen broken bones requiring about $2,600 of veternary bills by the adoptees. Melissa had a Black and White walker mare named Misty at her barn. She said the mare had been abandoned by it's owner and she was for sale. I said I'd love to buy her and somehow never got any r3eciet for any of the money I put towards her care. I have grain reiciets and one for hay but after 5 months The mare was taken to her friends barn becasue she had better fencing. The barn was her friend that I had left and they had bought Misty. Having already moved into the home next door to Melissa I was stuck there with my other two horses. I paid for a load of sawdust every month and helped them clean up the place. As they constantly ran out of hay and grain I let them borrow mine. It was never repaid. I let them borrow dog and cat food also never got paid back. June 4 I recieved a nte on my door that I had to get my horses off her property as I they believed I had called the APL on them and stolen their pit bull "Tank"
I had to call the police out to get a escort to get my horses as Melissa waqs not going to let me on her property to get them. The following day she stole several of my electric fence poles as I was taking the fence down. She claimed the police were on their way to arrest me and she was claiming the fence as hers. Well I happened to have the reciet for all the items on my person proving ownership. Friday My 3 year old boxer "Savanah" was taken from my yard. Saturday my home was broken into and a Western heart tack set was stolen. Her 8 year old son admitted it to her and she told him to go "Hide it before the police come!" Monday the 8th two ebay packages werew taken from my front pourch and $200. Found missing from the home. Melissa had a nice load of hay delivered I noticed. The Police are not able to do anything about what she did. For my safety I have to move myself and my horses as far away from her as possible. Every day it's something new. A big nail under my tire, My poulty missing, vegitible oil on my steps, a locking as cap key stuck in my locking gas cap. I am in fear for myself and all my animals. What can I do but move away as far as I can get and warn everyone from dealing from this person. I can only wipe my tears as I type and pray she gets stopped someday.
