I was approved by this company for a credit card to rebuild my credit. This company started me out with a $250.00 credit limit. I then made my payments on time each month as I was one of their good customers, with no defaults and paid the whole balance on my card each month with out paying the minimum payment. 6 months has gone by now and my credit limit is gone up to 450.00 since then with no problems.
All of a sudden they turn off my card and place it on hold. Now I'm pissed and wondering what the hell is going on. I contact their c/s department and ask "why have I been shut down from using my card?" They tell me, "You have been making your payments in full and that's not common, so the fraud dept. Decided to place your card on hold. Now I'm really mad at this point and decide to get this matter resolved so I can go on my way. Now here is the kicker! I speak with a manager and several other people in the C/S department and they all are telling different reasons that my card has been placed on hold.
First it was because I'm paying off my card in full each month so it looked funny on their end. Now what they tell me is that I'm using another form of payment each month lol. Let me tell you guys, every month I use my wife's or my daughters debit card to make these payments, because I don't have a debit card of my own to pay over the phone nor the internet. For 6 months they never had a problem with this as long as my wife got on the phone and authorized it.
Now after 6 months of going through the same routine they find this as a red flag!!! Come on now, what the hell is going on I'm saying to my self. So now I'm faxing them my I.D. Plus my wife's I.D. Plus my daughters I.D. Which I have to tell you she is a minor and she is only 13 years old. My wife is the primary person on this account which allows our daughter to have her own debit for emergency purposes only. So I wait for weeks and they keep telling me that they have received all information but the fraud dept. Hasn't taken the account off hold.
Let me go back to say also that with all the I.D.'s we sent in the debit cards front and back of each person's card that was used to make my monthly payments with. But this wasn't enough. So I call them once again thinking okay maybe they are going to be reasonable about the situation this time. "NOPE!!!" These freaks go even further stating now they need my 13 year old daughter's permission to use her card which we are in charge of and needs for her to write a statement in to their company along with another notary, which we have already don't remind you in the first place.
I called my lawyer and he laughed at me saying "are you serious you can't talk to the fraud dept?" Then I called another other lawyers and the laughed as well. One told me that, it seems like they are getting pissed at you because the are not making much money off you cause your paying your balance off in full each month not accuring any intrest with them.
