Ripoff Slow Processing Payment Scam

I have always made more than my minimum payment and sometimes pay twice a month. I and the company had no problems with this until my last payment of $275.00. I made my payment 12/27/02 and my bank posted this payment 12/30/02. January 2 I received a letter from my cable company stating they were unable to process my credit card payment. I contacted them thinking there was a mistake.

No mistake, CCB had been denying all Credit card payments. I contacted CCB to find out why on the website it stated. Credit Limit $550.00, Current Balance $323.03, Available Credit $-48.00. According to CCB I was overdrawn on my account with a balance less than my limit!

They stated they received my payment of $275 but were withholding it until 1/8/03 "just in case". I stated to them thant I have never NSF'd with them and what I needed to do to release the block on my credit card since I had several automatic payments for my utilities on this card. They wanted a copy of a transaction summary from my bank dated 12/30/02. I did get this from my Bank and faxed the copy to them. When I called for a status they stated "it was not good enough because it did not state their name. I again called my bank and they were able to get me a copy of the electronic transfer check front and back. I faxed this to them and now can not get any answers, just that the account is in a "hold" status until 1/8/03.

So, I now have 3 accounts with finance charges and late fees because CCB has my money but refuses to open my account and they are stating I have gone over my limit!

I am now trying to find out from them how to the card will ever be released if they are going to hold my payments for 10 business days and I pay on the day they release the hold on my card. I can't even use my card because I pay my account!!!

I will be closing this account if I can ever figure out how to get them to release the card since they continue to state even with a credit amount I am over my limit! Ugh!!!
