To wish there were a screening process on yahoo personals would be asking for a miracle. You need to be your own detective; after the person gives their full name check for myspace, facebook, and search on-line. I can now spot a profile that is really not here in the US right away.
I believe James Dawson is also under another profile named Kelly due to the information given on Kelly's profile is exact to the information given in email letters from James.
The romantic letters leer you in he confesses true love with in the first week and by week three he is asking for money. Stating his business is done and he has overstayed needing $1500 to cover hotel charges.
I played along to get the additional information to where he wanted the money sent.

He gives small clues throughout the whole email courtship of his intention is to never meet you. You don't pick up the clues reading the letters the first time, but read it again and you will see.
When he was on IM lonelyjames04 his spelling was very poor, but on yahoo email spelling was much better with a bit of accent that rolls into the email. I have 21 letters and several pictures of this person (I know they are not really him) all of the pictures match from young to old.
And he did give a phone number to call him; I did call it to hear if this person was real. Sure enough someone answered stating he was indeed James and did have a spanish accent as stated in his first letter to me.
