My father recieved a letter in the mail on Aug. 21, which is coincidentally also his birthday. He called me automatically to check it online and I luckily found this website and read other reports. He also called the number on the letter and spoke to "Chris Thomas" who had a middle eastern accent. He explained to him that he needed to take the check to the bank, deposit it into his account and when the checked cleared he needed to withdraw 2,985.00 and western union or moneygram the money to the tax agent that he would later get in contact with. He was also told that he was one of 10 winners and that 8 other people had already contacted them and recieved the rest of their money. He somewhat had his hopes up thinking it just might be real. That amount of money sure would have helped out with bills! Thanks to this website this letter will just get trashed.
