Charged me a settlement fee of 79.95 for reurning upopend package a few days late. I sne it back "return to Sender"

I sent back the material a few days late. It was an unopened package and I sent it back"Return to Sender". They charged my credit card for $79.95. They have received the returned material and they are telling me because I sent it back late, this is a settlement fee. This is really a Ripoff.
