My husband brought home the catolog in aug 02, he was aked to sell the products and he'd get 20% of the sale. I told him are you crazy, that not even worth us looking at it. Well then came the paperwork to start selling this stuff ourselves so me being the bill payer in our home and knowing that we live in a town of about 1,000 decided on the payment plan. I sent off 37.95 with a 100.00 balance. We received our box read every thing, watch the movie 5x's cuz they made it all look so easy. We then placed our first order for 300 bayberry lane 200 @. 45 cents each, 200 xmas brochures for 12.95, asst-100 brochures for 12.95 plus the shipping and handling you're looking at about 200.00, then they say in my timw zone on the info they sent i should get in 5 to 7 days hahah!!!
Anyways i get the brochures and now i going to be making lots of money staying home and filling orders all day because we had business cards made, we have a 800 # i'm a stay home mom i can do this. We spend. 67 cents for every bayberry lane. 37 cents for all the others, then i can't hand write on these brochures so i go buy labels that i type out to every one i can think of you know looking through the white pages on the internet trying to locate all your long lost family members cuz you know some how you're related right maybe their rich and they'll feel sorry for you a buy.
So now let's do the math: just to get started is was 37.95 200.00 brochures 312.00 in stamps 50.00 in labels and my time well by now it's the middle of oct. And if i want to make my millions i feel i need to offer the people who live in town a discount because we have one store, a cafe and a bar. So i mail out all my flyers then relized i don't have anybooks to show anyone at the cafe so i order 15 w.O.P. Books @ 2.99 each and wait.
Soon they arrive i'm exicted maybe someone will order. My husband came home everyday waiting for me to say quit your job we're rich, we're rich no instead he said he had to bring the w.O.P. Book home with him because 2 yes i said 2 other people at his job where they employ 15 already had that market.
Well that's ok right i mailed out 600 brochures. It's now JAN. 08-03 and i'm still waiting for all my mail orders i can't lie to you i did receive 1 order for a candle holder and she wanted it drop shipped to her door. Now if you read the small print you'll see that if the order is less then 25.00 you have to pay 2.00 so let's see the candle holder would cost her 19.95 plus since she lived in my town we gave everyone a 20% discount! My husband and i now both work full time jobs. I still owe 100.00 to smc but i figure when i make MY first 100.00 i'll spend it then pay they with the next 100.00
