Ripoff unethical dodging false promises victimizes many consumers & certified by BBB ripoff Scottsdale

Like many of the people in the reports I read on the internet, I too, was a weak, young and inexperienced girl looking for an appealing way to make money without having a ton of experience in any job field. I read the ad that said, "Looking for 12 hard workers to replace 12 who wouldn't. No exp. Nec."

I, of course called immediately and talked to a very friendly girl who set me up with an 11:00am app the very same day. My boyfriend also had an interview scheduled at 11:00, so we figured it to work out very conviently for the two of us who just recently moved out together and are looking to find jobs.

We showed up for our first interview and had to wait in a small room and fill out an application that asked us to rate ourselves from 1-10, list 3 character traits, etc. I felt weird, but in the dark. After waiting for a few minutes, I was called back to a smaller office, where a girl named Carrie interviewed me. The interview was very brief and I was asked small irrelevant questions that did not seem to pertain to the job. After talking with her for about 5 minutes, she asked me to return two days later for a second interview at 12:30.

My boyfriend was called into her office right after me and the exact same routine followed with him. He was also invited back for a second interview at 12:30. At the second interview, we were greeted by a guy named Reed Hatch. I, myself, am only 18 years old, and found out later that Reed, the office manager of this office was only 19! Carrie, the girl who gave me my first interview, was also there. She was extremely friendly and remembered my name right off the bat. This gave me the impression that I had made a good impression on her, therefore giving me more confidence as I stood there signing in.

My boyfriend and I were lead to a large room. There were already close to 20 people there, making me doubt the "great appeal" this oppertunity once gave me. We sat down and the second interview began. Reed Hatch, the 19 year old "pretty boy" began his speech about the history of the company "Global Marketing" and it's founder, John Whitworth, or as he liked to be called,
"Johnny." He went on to describe the purpose of the company and the difference between rendition and original. Of course he said we were involved with the rendition side. (Go figure!)

He went on to discuss many things, all of which seemed well thought out, rehearsed, and of course sugarcoated. He described the qualifications of the job, which were five things; 1. Great attitude 2. Honest 3. Hard worker 4. Trainable 5. Commitment/priority
He also discussed their accounts, which he put into four types,
1. Wholesale 2. Premium/incentive 3. Mail order 4. Route sales, or in other words small business sales.

He then went on to discuss FFAAR, which stands for friends, family, associates, aquaintances, and relatives. He said word of mouth sales is a great way to sale. He also told us to write down two important names, Derek Mason and Dan Long. He said they are regional managers.

He said the training would last 10-13 weeks and it would start with basic training, which was broken down into 3 areas-marketing stage, managament, and administrative. He used the word meager and asked us to define it. He said in training, we would make no less than 250 dollars a week. He said he made close to 700! I doubt it.

He also explained the "Executive Level" of training, which would teach us how to work with our crew. He even discussed crew bonuses. "The better you treat your crew" he said, "the more money you make." Whatever!

He then discussed pay, stating that the quota was a minimum of 200 sales per week in your office, which would pan out to a 1600 dollar profit for your office. He said you get 600 of it, and the other 1000 dollars goes to your "everything else" file, which pays your crew, your rent etc.

He said the more sales we do, the more money you make. Sounds like bullsh! T to me already. He then discussed benefits and vacations. He said the company offers all sorts of benefit packages, and we could choose any one we wanted, all of which would be paid for. He then said we were required to take two vacations a year, one in January, one in July. He said they are all paid by Mr. Whitworth because he realizes that people just need breaks from work. He said last year they went to Mexico. He said they all wore rist bands so they got all their stuff paid for. He even discussed a time that his girlfriend Amanda, who is 22, and the manager of the Tempe office, fell into the pool and the whole company laughed. He said they were kicked out of some place four years ago for being too rowdy.

After Reed was done with his speech, they began calling people out of the room in small groups of 2-5. My boyfriend and I waited patiently while the two of us and two other girls were the only four left. Reed asked us all to move to the front row chairs. He talked to the four of us and said we were hired and instead of the 10-13 week manager traing program, he felt we could work harder then the others, so the four of us were chosen to be put into a 6-8 week training program. He then congratulated us with a personal handshake, said he was starving, and asked us to return Monday for our first day. Today is friday, and I have 2 days before monday, and after reading all the reports done on Mr. Whitworth, I think I am going to go on Monday and make them look ridiculous in front of all the people who know nothing of the world perfume scam. I will raise hell to show that just because I am young and inexperienced, it doesn't give them a right to lie to me and make me look a fool. Thanks everyone for your stories, I now know that Mr. Reed Hatch and his Scottsdale bullsh! T office are a bunch of lying frauds. On Monday, I will show them that the young are smarter then they treat us and a lot of bad info on them has gone a long way. But you know what they say, If it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger!
Also, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably isn't true!
