I bumped onto downlova when I was searching for a song. Out of desperation the site claimed to have the song available for download, so I then proceeded to register and was only notified about the $4.87 for a 3 day tria. To my suprise when trying to search for the song I coul'nt the only thing I was linked to was a host of porn websites. (i dont do porno).in the meantime i recieved about 4 emails, all telling about some subcriptions I have been charged for - nothing like music site or anything close - all were porn sites. The charges to my credit card ranged from $1 to 39.73 monthly. I wa only awaken by my wife after 3 days that our credit card has been charged with R322. ($39.73) and a further (R 8 for 3 days, and another R39). I started by responding directly to the emails and after 2 days there was no response. I then tried to search for some of the websites qouted and send emails and completed forms in trying to cancel my subscription but to no avail. I then stared to be impatient and I was then searching for the Viaty SL website (this is the company that was supposed to appear on my credit card statement for billing but a differecnt name was instead) and thats when I got tho the usacomplaints.com.
Now I am fully convinced that I have been ripped off and I am not going to waste my time trying to chase these guys with so many email and web addresses. I guess I have one option - to cancell my credit card as these buggers will continue billing me if I dont.
