This week, my daughter received an invitation to attend a meeting regarding a European tour. Knowing nothing about this company, I went to the website, RSVP'd for the meeting, and then proceeded to do research on this company. I'm not about to let my 13 year old daughter go for 20 days overseas with people I know nothing about. Especially when there is so much sexual abuse going on with coucenlors/preachers/teachers and children.
I'm so grateful for this site.
I decided to find out if what was posted on here was real... Or garbage. I'm also an adult learner student at a local college and I accesses EBSCO. I put in People to People student ambassadors and found out this was all real.
In fact, there are other lawsuits against this company - not just Tyler Hill's. There was a newspaper report about one 11 year old girl who went on the same trip my daughter would be going on. She came home and had lost 20 lb in 20 days and had to be hospitalized for almost 2 months and is still suffering health problems due to the malnutrition during her trip.
I still plan on attending the meeting regarding the trip. I also plan on collecting all the information which has been published on this company and presenting it to the parents at the meeting, and leaving. They need to know before they sign on for this. So many are too trusting these days and shouldn't be.
