Usbi deception!

In May of our office was contacted by a representative of USBI. At the time they stated they were from Qwest. Now I know better. At the time they contacted us, they worded their 'request', in such a way to make us believe that Qwest would no longer be our provider. There was no explanation as to why Qwest was no longer in business, but the rep spoke in such a way that it made us feel like they were simply taking over Qwest accounts. When our office opened this morning, August 4th I found we had no long distance access at all! I tried to call out of the office and it kept refering me to an 800 number. When I called the 800 number it was Qwest... Our original phone company, that supposedly was no longer in business! I called USBI, and got a 'customer service rep', that (frankly) sounded very bored, and I asked him why we had no long distance service, and all I got was 'um... I don't know, i'll put the paperwork through to tech support'. I told him not to bother, I had already switched back to Qwest, and I was reporting USBI to every channel that wanted to listen. His only response to that was...'oh, ok'. When I spoke with a rep at Qwest, she indicated that this has happened before, but she couldn't say anything until I brought up the name of the other company (USBI). Can anything be done about this? This is just blatant deception. I might also add, that our bills have been $75 to $100 more with USBI.
