I saw an advertisement online about car sponsorships and read the fine print and it stated that the credit info was to find out if you were serious about a sponsorship. It said nothing about charging my account. Now I've tried various times to contact the billing department and they seem to always step out. It seems as if the receptionist already knows the routine as if they are always receiving phone calls asking for the same person for the same reasons. If that is the case then I think the government should take further action. I competed the application and never received any type of notification. No email. No phone call.
I just got up this mornign and wanted to check my balance to find out that I had a rediculous charge on my account. This is credit and identity theft at its most legal; since no notification was sent or phoned or even by standard mail, my credit and no permission if that isn't illegal then what is?
