Loan fraud

Was looking around on the internet for a loan, came across winford financial. I contacted them with the loan amount i was looking for. Monica Sterling called me and stated that the company could help me out with the amount i was looking for.

She faxed me all the information that i needed to complete the loan process. She stated that due to me having a high debt to income ratio, I would have to pay 2 months payments in advance. Whiched totaled 1070.00. I had to borrow the money from my parents. She said that i would have the loan amount transfered into my bank account in 24 hours.

After the 24 hours was up, I called her back and she said that i would have to talk to customer service (Kevin Neely). Because the money wasn't in my bank account. After talking to Kevin, he said he would look into what was wrong. He called me back the next day and stated that the original lender had backed out due to my high debt to income ratio.

He was working on a second lender, they stated that they would need another 2 months payment. I paid the additional 1070.00, making the total amount that i paid was 2140.00. He said that i should have the loan deposited into my account in 24 - 48 hrs.

So we waited for two very long days. After nothing showed up in the account after 2 days, I called Kevin back and kept leaving messeges. No one called me back after 2 weeks.

Then finally after all the calls, the last time i called i got... Thank you, Goodbye. That's when i started looking around on the internet to see if i could find anything else about this company. To my surprise, I found numerous reports about the company being a fraud.

So we contacted the BBB of Missouri, then they told me to contact the Attorney General, Division of Finance, Federal Trade Commission, Internet Fraud Watch.

Then I had to tell my parents that i was a victim of a advance loan scam. Which was very hard to do. But they kind of understood, due to the fact that we have contacted all of those other places.

Now 7/18/08 we are still waiting to hear something in return from someplace.
