I was hired by the Mark Bosworth on Dec. 16. My Dad had gone to see him becasue he was sick and mentioned i needed a job. So Mark told my dad that i was to be at his house the next morning at 8:00. Now I have known mark and his kids for about 10 years.in fact at one point i was friends with his oldest daughter. I even babysat for her. I ended up working for mark as the Utility girl. My job was to turn the utilities on when a new home owner brought us a house and to turn them off when a renter got put into them. I was also in charge of the keys.
That went on for about 6 months. Then i wanted to be property manager. Marks son in law who is married to marks oldest was my supervisor. I think he saw this as a great opportunity, for him. I do not mean that in a good way. When he started showing me how things worked on the management side none of it made sense. I mean the things he was telling me to do did not feel honest. He made it sound like it was okay though. Then he started working less and less. The voice messages were pilling up and i did not know how to answer most of them. He would never tell me what to say. His response was Tell them to pay, or it is being taken care of, stuff i knew was not true.
Pretty soon my name was on all the letters going out. So homeonwers and renters were coming and looking for me but i could barely help them because i did not know what i had signed. My supervisor just told me to sign it. Every friday the boys were out playing golf and i would be asked to work extra hours on saturday. I was able to keep up with my previous work and soon the market started to go down. So there was less work. I would get finnished and ask if there was anything that anybody needed done. The answer was always no. So i would sit at my desk and pretend to work. But if i got caught i was in trouble.
In november i knew that something was going to happen. I could feel it. I even told my mom and she said if the fired me that i would find another job. On day there was a mandatory meeting.in the meeting mark talked about how keeping your prior obligations is important to be successful. Christmas time rolled around. My entire family was in town and there was going to be a big group picture and dinner. I informed two supervisors and mark about this. They approved it.
The day before my family was to gather, mark put a note in everyone's box to attend a mandatory meeting the next night. There would be dinner and dessert the meeting was to start at 6 and would not be over till about 10 or 11. I reminded him about my family and he flat out in front of everyone said he did not care i was to attened his meeting. Even though i had gotten approval a month before. So i said well i have to be there and he said okay well you come after the picture. I asked if i would recieve dinner once i got to the meeting he said no because i would get there to late. No dessert either. So i asked if i could get dinner with my family before i came and he said no.
I did not get home from that meeting till 12 became very sick from no food and skipped work the next day. When asked where i had been i told them what happened and he laughed at me. Two weeks later he asked that i drive to the scottsdale office every day to answer phones for two weeks because the girl that worked there was going to be gone. With no extra money for gas i hauled it down there every day. 2 days after the girl came home i had to leave my main office early to go handle some personal business. Once again i got it approved. 2 hours after i left i got called back in at which time i was told that i was not keeping up with my work and that i was not going in the direction that home america was, and was asked to leave.
I know that they are screwing their homeowners and their tennants over. They do all these things to the homes that they do not inform the owners about and then charge them. Then they find crappy renters put them in there with a rent payment that half of them can not afford and when things turn south they persuede the owners to sell the house to them. They clean it up and turn it around to a big time investor who has no idea what is going and sell it to him and then get him to rent it out through them.
