Companies like these are rip offs. I know because I worked for this particular company ITCPhone and I know how it operates. What's funny is the owner claims he is an honest man who sells a honest product (VOIP phone service). However; that is not true. He's a liar and a manipulator. Don't fall for his lies. There are several issues he refuses to tell his customers.
VOIP service is not that great at all. Don't buy this type of service if you can avoid it. I recommend to stay away from it.
The owner of this company claims you get excellent reception. That's a lie. There were so so many times that we had problems even at his own office. I was constantly filling out problem reports online on a daily basis. Problems like not being able to hear the other party on the phone speak. Allot of missing words, static, and mostly several dead airs. Most of the time you have to wait more than 3 minutes just for the phone to ring on the other end. Heaven forbid if there is an emergency.
It is according to him 911 compliant, but what if you get a dead air when there is an emergency? What if your power goes out? If your power goes out, you are stuck with no phone at all. He fails to tell people that. He fails to tell people about the frequent dead airs and bubbles you get. He doesn't like to mention that you have to pay a seperate bill from your internet provider in order to maintain his service. He feeds off landlines.internet costs average $50.00 a month for required high speed. So you have that bill plus his monthly plan. There is no savings at all like he claims.
He is just as bad as any other hungry company using a telemarketing strategy. He cheats the IRS, he's nothing but a liar.
He charges you for a hookup you can easily do yourself. He claims to be a Vonage competitor. LOL he's only been in business a few months. He has a VERY long way to go to be anybody's competitor. He doesnt tell his new clients that they can get the same service if not better through comcast or AT&T at a MUCH lesser monthly rate. He charges for a residential plan of 23.99 a month. Vonage is 24.99 a month. But AT&T or Comcast only charges 19.99 a month with a free modem. Do the math on that one. (Dont forget to add your internet costs on top of your monthly bills with VOIP)
He claims to have 24 hour tech support through his company. Uh hello! The tech support is just him! He can't afford to to hire tech support like he let my employment go because he couldnt afford to pay me anymore. He lied to EDD that I quit. He's nothing but a big fat liar! He cant afford it because he cant get any sales. Hmmm I wonder why hehehehe
His phone service sucks! You are better off with landlines and buying a honest calling card for extra calls outside the country.
Want to hear something else funny? He has a landline for his fax machine and front office desk! LOL He uses the front office desk frequently when he has problems with his VOIP. Now imagine your home or office having problems. If you switch over, you are screwed.
He preys on young children and schools to try and help him sell his service. Those poor kids and people have no clue what a ripoff service they would be selling. He calls it charity with residual income. LOL If those kids or people dont sell anything. They get nothing so all that hard work for nothing. He is to cheap to do proper advertising. He cant get his clients to stay on longer than a month or 2 and his poor sales reps lose on the commissions.
Use your own judgement, but coming from me as an ex employee. Dont get his service. I am entitled to my opinion and I am not doing this inspite of his actions. I am simply speaking the truth about what a ripoff his company is. See for yourself if you don't believe me. Good luck.
