I was a sucker and "won" with a bid of $335.00...
Well the picture on the website did not show the poor quality of the ring.
The main gem had striations across it that were very visible, along with a very cheaply made ring body that was hollow and sharp on the finger.
I googled
"$7200 Certified 8.75Ct Sapphire And Diamond Huge Ladies Ring 10K Y Gold" 2 days after I won the bid and the exact same ring came up for sale on craigslist for and ebay for under $180 and no one bid on the ring... They must of known something I did not.
I have since sent the ring back to the company for a refund, but now I am stuck paying $8 mail it back and the 12.5% ($41.87) "Restocking" fee. This company has obviously scammed others with the same ring, I'm sure it will be listed again on properyroom.com and some other poor sam will be stuck with the same song and dance while rosdebor cashes in on more "restocking" fees.
I guess I now know people pedal cheaply made jewelery
under the guise that it is worth substantially more just knowing it will be returned so they just take a large portion of your paid price and keep it. I guess if you sell something enough times and it gets returned your still going to make a profit from all the "restocking" fees...
So to sum it up...
Stay away from Rosdebor and propertyroom.com at all costs... Or you will end up e-screwed like me.
