I really wish I would have read the other reports before dealing with Luxury Motors. I came across a vehicle at their SAAB location and had been in contact many times before making the trip down there. I was told how great the car was, was faxed the Carfax report, etc. Everyone I know has heard of Luxury Motors, with nothing bad to say, so I thought "how bad could it be?"
Let me tell you. I made the 3 1/2 hour trip after giving them a 100% refundable deposit to assure the car couldn't be sold before I got there. Within 5 minutes of being in the car, the breaks were squealing louder than I have ever heard breaks squeal. The AC wasn't working properly and there were clear signs that the transmission was wrecked. The salesman in the backseat basically laughed it off. He offered to have their techs take a look at it, but I declined as with the signs of the transmission problems, I had no further interest in this car. When we pulled back into the lot, a notification came on saying "No oil pressure, stop engine".
At this point the sales guy basically said that they didn't even check the car out, so in so many words, they got it from the auction, shined up the tires and put it on their lot. No warranty was offered either. Not even a 30 day/1000 mile like most places have. He had no clue, as he's checking the dip stick for oil.
I of course was urged to spend more and look at cars that they knew were out of my range.By this time I was so frustrated and tired of their weird party techo music blasting in the background, I just wanted to leave.
I am STILL in the process of getting my refund back and keep getting placed on hold or told someone will call me back. Nothing. I have tried going higher up but the people I am told I need to speak with are the exact people that others are badmouthing on this site, so that's not good. The only good I know at this moment is that the deposit is on my credit card, and I have already notified my company that I am disputing the charge. Fingers crossed.
Bottom line, do not even consider buying a car from them!!!
