They said i had won the lottery and sent a check for me to deposit into my acct. For the taxes

I received a letter saying I had been chosen along with ten other people to split 1.5 million dollars. My share was 150,000. They sent a check for 4983.98 that was to be deposited in my checking account to help me pay for the taxes and that would be deducted from the 150,000. They said the taxes was 2996.00. There was a phone number in the letter and i called it. The man said to deposit the check and then call him back and he would give me directions on how to pay the taxes and the remaining balance would be sent to me.
