National Motor Museum Mint AKA: Flatbed Fire Set, Lipinwald Inc. Lipinwald, Inc. & their Multiple Products, Services & "multiple businesses" Worst Ever dealt with., Wallingford

June 10, placed order (via phone) for die cast small model 1957 Cadillac from Nat'l Motor museum Mint ("Flatbed Fire Set" AKA: Lipinwald Inc.in Norwalk, Ct.).

Price according to TV ad: (which displayed phone number also) $10.00 for car plus, $ 5.95 for S/H plus, 6% Ct tax ; $15.95 plus CT. Tax of $0.96. Total charge to my Credit Card should have only been: $16.91.
How this company arrived at $42.25, was insane.

When contacted company almost 3 hours (8 am EST) later, to either correct problem from automated system adding more than I actually ordered, or, completely cancel order (if couldn't be rectified immediately) immediately. Plus, Customer Service Supervisor ("MIKE #332") double & triple taxed me as well, on that $42.25 (he stated: "double and triple taxing was perfectly legal" — what a moron)..

I called my bank (they issued my credit card, used here) immediately. Was told by Bank Credit Card Rep; "have to wait for order to surface (in bank) as paid first before can do anything and, issue you a service claim number". Thus, instructed me further and, canceled credit card as well.

While I waited to submit credit card dispute for service claim/adjustment number to be issued by bank, my dispute report to get this matter rectified (at least, so this Lipinwald Inc., would not go adding MORE to my card, that did not originally purchase) states it ALL. Everything that transpired—time, dates, etc..

This dispute report shows & states everything, of my being ripped off from Lipinwald Inc. AKA: Nat'l Motor Museum Mint / Flatbed Fire Set.

June 10, placed order (via phone) for die cast small model 1957 Cadillac (as gift) from Nat'l Motor museum Mint ("Flatbed Fire Set" AKA: Lipinwald Inc.in Norwalk, Ct.).

Price according to tv ad (which displayed phone numberalso) $10.00 for car plus, $ 5.95 for S & H plus, 6% Ct tax ; $15.95 plus, CT. Tax of $0.96. Total charge to my Credit Card should have only been: $16.91. How this company arrived at $42.25, was insane. Plus, supervisor ("MIKE #332") double & triple taxed me as well, on that $42.25 (he stated "double and triple taxing was perfectly legal" — what a moron)..

When placed order over phone 6/10/08, this was all automated, no live person; just "say Yes", "say, no." "Push one, push two" and so on. Due to automated system had to use for order, I was unable to get any customer service (live person) to correct the error from this automated order taking system. It had placed more items than I actually ordered, to start with.

Nor, did this automated order system give any "order confirmation / reference number" upon sale completion. Nor, even given actual total amount of sale, to be charged to Credit Card, when I placed order over the phone.

Annoyed, and knew had to get this corrected immediately, I called back this same number (1-888-326-0689). I called three more times and listened to see if gave options to press a phone key pad number, to connect to a live customer service person or billing/accounts area, person. NOTHING, except same exact automated ordering recording, over and over.

I went online to see if can find out who this Nat'l Motor Museum Mint Company is and where located, in order to get some phone numbers to contact company. This was how found name Lipinwald Inc (a direct marketing —and more—company selling the die cast model cars) and their addresses etc; about company.

I called (on 6/10/08) 1-888-215-6468—was told to then call their "TV Customer Service (in Wallingford CT) number at 1-888-326-0978, in 2 days for the order to surface in their system in order to then cancel and refund you". Then called main number in Norwalk, Ct. 203-852-0001&no answer—just recording.

Called my bank immediately after. Was told by Bank Rep; "have to wait for order to surface as paid first before can do anything and issue you a service claim number".

On June 12: called 1-888-326-0978. Spoke to customer service order person "Cheryl" (dumber than a rock) аbout: 1) I have no idea what actual amount charged to my card is nor, given any order number confirmation of my order 2) the automated system placed order for more than I actually ordered thus, need to cancel order because of this and, get this done ASAP.

She, "Cheryl" stated "cannot fix or refund you, must wait till delivery, order already went through as paid and was shipped out on 6/10/08". Told her: I called 6/10/08 and, been trying, literally, moment after phone order system messed up my order, to get this resolved & canceled! How can my order be "instantly paid and shipped out on 6/10/08", as you claim, within 3 hours? That's ridiculous and you're a liar. Put your supervisor on the phone, now!

Just when I thought I'd get someone more sensible to rectify this matter—cancel order—this Supervisor was even WORSE, even more ignorant and, downright stupid!

Supervisor refused to give me his full name, angrily refused to let me speak to his dept. Boss (refused to give me name of boss of dept. That's over him—what a chicken and cowardly, of this 'Sipervisor' "Mike #332") as well.

Supervisor on phone stated his name is "Mike" and: "I'm not giving you full name! You only get my supervisor number: Mike #332". I then told "Mike #332" exactly what happened (above written) and called to cancel my order.

"Mike #332" said same exact as "Cheryl"; "order paid & sent out 6/10/08". I gave same response as did to "Cheryl" and, demanded to speak to the Department Boss to get this rectified. "Mike #332" flatly refused to let me speak with boss or give me boss's name, phone number, etc..

I told "Mike #332": Nothing was paid for or shipped because called my bank just before called here; it's not there and that proves you're lying! Plus, If I did decide to keep order, I'd have to get order corrected anyway and, request shipped by UPS only, due to mail package delivery problems tenants have at this location. Again, "Mike": I do not want order & called to cancel order, what's your problem here canceling it?

My Order was never shipped out nor, payment even processed for credict card authorization, at this time we're speaking (8:10 a. M 6/12/08)!
Mike #332, You never even answered my questions as to HOW a $15.95 plus tax order turned into a $42.25 order!

Obviously, I immediately demand order canceled because 1) you refuse to correct order error & charged me for it—despite fact I didn't order those other items 2) What was to be a free extra car added in order, for still a price total of $10.00 plus $5.95 S/H plus Ct. Tax at 6 % ($0.96 for tax)—According to the actual TV Ad shown: "$10.00 %5.95 S/H
for the one car & the free car 1957 Cadillac special included, plus tax (where applicable—CT. Residents)"..

This means, "Mike #332", Consumer pays $15.95 Total! If consumer is a CT resident, then the $0.96 is added to the SUB TOTAL that's $15.95". This would then bring the CT consumer FULL TOTAL for purchase, as ONLY $16.91.
Hey "Mike #332"—you lied here also, about the actual Ad shown on TV commercial!

I see here, now, it's DELIBERATELY misrepresented and, was charged for BOTH cars and, taxed for both cars each, separately. Then, Mike #332, added shipping price twice, each at $5.95, then he taxed each shipping charge (only supposed to be ONE ship charge—according to the TV ad without separate taxing on it). False advertising & false representation of sale terms and product fee and ship fees.

To make matters worse, "Mike #332", REFUSED to remove the other items I did not even order (that I tried to have corrected) and, to cancel order altogether!

Thus, I was charged for 2 cases (lucite car display cases) I tried to get removed because, didn't order it. Supervisor "Mike #332" Refused to remove it or cancel my order thus, charged my card for the cases: extra 21.90 plus tax PER EACH case.

Then, Mike #332 tacked on shipping fee PER EACH display case as well as, TAX—PER EACH SHIPPING FEE OF EACH, DISPLAY CASE. "Mike#332" I stated: you don't see what you did wrong here, aside from that your math, logic, and reasoning stinks, as well? Your customer skills with people are purely atrocious! You should be fired & not work with the public—EVER!!!

The funds were taken from my account, during evening hours on June, 19. Despite this insane supervisor "Mike #332", claims: "your order cannot be canceled because on the 10th of June, the payment went through as paid and was shipped out this day 6/10/08, already". That was not and is not possible, in ANY capacity, for that to have been, as he claims.

My bank alone, PROVES him and co. WRONG on that ridiculous statement, he claims. Because, sometime on evening of June 12, was start of the $42.25 Credit Card Authorization hold. The $42.25 was not 'released for payment' UNTIL evening of June 19..

I am disputing the charge and want my funds put back into my account. *I was also told by Bank Rep. To cancel Credit Card and get new one, as result of this. I did this, and awaiting new Credit Card in mail.

While searched for Nat'l Motor Museum Mint to find contact numbers, etc; came across so many problems they had with consumers and companies alike, that Lipinwald Inc. Really has. Major lawsuits filed against them by big companies (few settled, many others pending), government, consumers, atty generals, etc... Long list. If I knew about this before, I never, ever, would have ordered a single thing from ANY of their companies.

I tried several times to get my order canceled to no avail. I canceled as far as I'm concerned despite fact, they refuse to do such, even though, did not want order at all.

The outcome? So far, no such "delivery of items" ever arrived (or ever will either), as "Mike #332" states, I will get. My Bank Credit Card dept. Took care of the dispute (upon giving required info to them) and, I won.
