I was hired by the company in April. I was 7 month's pregnant and they were aware of this even before hiring me. I was working some shifts on my feet for up to 11 hours and that can be hard when you're 8 months pregnant. I guess my attitude wasn't enthusiastic enough for them but I'd like to know what woman would be energetic and over enthusiastic about any job in her last month of pregnancy.
On June 3rd after working 10 hours straight I was pulled into an office where I was told that the program I was in was just not working out. I explained to them that I was 8 months pregnant and was doing the best I could. That wasn't good enough for them. (they could've at least given me a chance after my pregnancy because I'm a completely different person when not pregnant) I recently received my last pay check from them and was shocked when I opened it up to discover they paid me $1.00 an hour!!! How can that be legal?
