In I had a family crisis that required most of my money. I was forced to file a Bankruptcy because I had to choose between a life and paying bills. At that time I was financing a car with Union Acceptance Corp. They were never included in the bankruptcy, nor did they ever not receive an on time payment. Yet, they sent me a very nasty letter telling me that I had to sign additional promises to pay (they were not a part of the bkrupt) or that they would refuse to submit credit reports to Equifax, etc.
My attorney refused to allow me to sign their forms and told me to just pay as usual and they would have to report my good payment history. Wrong. They still refuse to report my paid off car and or my credit history with them.
This country lives on credit reporting. I need that good credit as I am now establishing credit since the bankruptcy. This ripoff company could care less and won't answer my letters. I have sent several disputes to Equifax to no avail. They just keep saying it isn't on my report. Right. That is the problem.
Stay away from these people. They are money grubbers who don't even care about you if you pay them every dime you owe and do it on schedule and are never late. It is a crime to be refused credit for what I did do right yet never be allowed to forget a hard time in life.
