My mother was sent to Braintree Manor from a broken ankle she received while living at a assisting living. She was sent to be rehab. This was October. She is still waiting to be rehab. They started to do some in Oct. And Nov. But decided not to do any in Dec. Because they were bored. She still had her cast on. But they lied to medicare and tried to charge them over 10,000.00 for that month. I got an ombudsman in at Jan. When the cast was off. The reason they dd not want to do therapy was she could not stand on one foot when she had the cast on. She is 82. Finally they agreed to do it after they discover that she had medicare part b. What was therapy? Hanging her in a sack for 45 minutes and nothing else. At the end of March the therapist told my mother if she wasn't so fat maybe they would have done therapy.
The diet in this place is poor. My mother needs to be on a low sodium diet. The dinners there are something. Pizza with cheese curls, hamburgers with onion rings, subs with chips. Breakfast is bad. One day she had a sausage patty, donut and a banana.
She sits in soiled depends all day. They never change her even when has beg them. There is very little to do there. One hour of activity. And most of the times it is a movie. She has seen the same movies at times or4 times.
The director has threaten me because we did not pay the bill. Told me that he would sue for custody and banned me rom seeing my mother. I have told the ombudsman and the state public health even the atty general office. No one cares. I have called a dozen lawyers for help. Some could not be bother but others told me that this chain is well-known for lying and covering up the truth.
She was sent there to be rehab. She is on so much medicine and for things she does not have. Legs have swollen up and the tops of her feet have turned blue at times. When we the heat wave the air conditioning wasn't working and there was only two fans in the room and I could see the the UTI was causing problems. Before they got their hands on her she was healthly for an 82. The usual problems but nothing major. Now I wonder how long I will have her. There is so much more. But I will stop.
