I recently purchased my first home, and I was every excited, I am 32 years old, sinlge with one daughter, that has Asthma and has to use a Breathing Machine once in a while. My broker requested that I purchase this home warranty from Old Republic for $450. I DID!!!
I did not get a home insepection before purchase because, they told me that it was NOT required and if anything tears up they will still fix it or replace it.
Just so happen my A/C unit stopped working and I placed a service call in with the company. They sent a company name Prime out to look at the unit and the guy said the unit is leaking Freon and something about a damn coil. Whatever that is. I he called OR and the customer service name Loandre at ext 1171 told me that, the servcie guy said that the problem with the unit was happening before I purchased the home. So Loandre told me that they could not replacement or fix the unit and that she could give me an estimate on a brand new unit $4000, that I would have to pay out of my pockets.
This company is only scamming customer out of there money and are not replacing anything that tears up in your house.
Please don't get this home warranty. I am now talking to a lawyer on this case. The customer service rep also had a very rude attitude. Now me and daughter are sleeping in one room with a fan until something gets done about this. I do not have $4000 for a damn unit.
