I received a call today from a "gentlemen" (I use the term very loosely because I cannot remember his name) from Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates. I did not know what they were calling for, as I had never heard of these people.
The man that I was talking to proceeded to tell me that they were representing a Pest Control Company and trying to collect a debt. I informed the man that I have never hired a pest control company and I wanted some information from him about the company so that I could do my research and find out what was going on.
Instead of giving me the information I requested, the man started telling me that this was their last attempt to collect this debt (even though this was the first time I had ever from from these people) and if I did not pay it the they were going to start a civil lawsuit for breech of contract. He repeated this several times, as if trying to intimidate me. At this point, I was not being rude, I was still just trying to get the information that I wanted so that I could contact the company directly.
At this point, without any warning, another man takes the phone and introduces himself as Burt Phillips, some sort of Supervisor. He said he was walking by and heard what was going on... I don't know what he supposedly heard, unless it was just the fact that I wasn't giving them my bank account or credit card information like they wanted me to. The amount that I owed, according to what they were saying, was around $100.00, which I realize isn't a huge amount of money. Burt Phillips kept saying "it's less than $100.00 or it's your credit report" and like I told him, it doesn't matter how much money it is, the point is it's my money and I'm not paying for services that I didn't receive. I was trying to get the same information out of Burt, and I was getting very, very irate due to the fact that I was asking for something simple and it was as if they couldn't hear me because all Burt was doing was talking over me. Burt then proceeded to tell me that he wasn't going to talk to me anymore unless I was going to pay the money. He, nor the man I spoke to before would give me any information. I still don't even know what the exact amount is that they were wanting from me because they never told me. He then hung up on me, after telling me that he didn't have to listen to my mouth because I told him he was talking to me like a jerk and asked him if he would hut up and listen to me for a second. I was just so irritated with the fact that these men called my home and treated me so badly because I didn't roll over and give them exactly what they wanted, my money.
I called back after he hung up on me and he refused to give me any information, all he would say is "it's your credit report" and hung up again.
So, I am relentless and called back again... By this time, I had also went to my computer and researched the name "Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates" and of course, the first thing that comes up is a complaint, surprise! So, when I talked to Burt Phillips for the 3rd time I told him that all I wanted was the contact information for the company that he was "representing"... He refused and told me that he would not talk to me anymore. I asked him if they were located in Dallas, Texas and when he answered yes and I informed him that I was reading a report about how they ripped people off and as soon as I got that out of my mouth, he hung up again. I guess Mr. Phillips was looking for a different woman today, one he apparently thought would be intimidated by him and do whatever he said and I am proud to say he was dead wrong!
I do not know what anyone or any company would hire Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates to represent them... They are extremely rude and careless about anyone, they won't even listen to what you have to say. So, if you get a call from Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates and aren't prepared to do what they want you to do, when they want you to do it, be prepared to be treated like crap and to fight.
At this point, I would rather take the hit on my credit report than to give a red cent to Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates or Burt Phillips. DO NOT ever do business with these people, they are heartless crooks!!
