Mary Beebe had a Kirby demonstration to help out a friend. She brought her boss with her to do training. Mary is on SSI and also mentally challenged and has a caregiver 24 hours a day and is in no way able to understand a contract or sign one. After 3 hours the boss training had a contract out and had Mary signing it. The caregiver kept saying no but they didn't listen. They charged her $2837.00 and gave her a demo model not a new one. The caregiver called to tell them they didn't want the vacuum and he was told that they wouldn't take it back. They said they will ruin her credit and everything else. The bank closed her account because it overdrew the account. There needs to be something done about a salesperson that takes advantage of a handicapped person and a company that stands by the salesperson for making the sale. They still have not taken back the vacuum and her caregiver doesn't know what to do.
