I called to increase my credit limit and was told there would be no charge.
I opened my next bill and there was a $20 Misc. Finance Charge listed on the bill that covered the increase.
I called and spoke to one customer service person and one supervisor. I was told, that even though their employee made the mistake, they were not going to reverse the charge.
My option was to pay the fee for the increase or have the $20 removed and have the credit limit decreased. The supervisor had no problems with the fact that their employees do not know what they are talking about.
I have been with this company for nearly two years, never make a late payment and always pay in full, and still got screwed. My advice, if you are going to get a card from these guys, know all facts because their customer service people either don't know or outright lie.
And management doesn't care...
