In January, a very nice young girl came to my door telling me about a college class on public speaking she was taking. She said she was nervous, and her professor said if she would go out and sell these magazine subscriptions, he would credit her grade for it. She was professionally dressed, and showed me her student ID and was extremely sweet.
Normally I would say no thank you, but she told me that if I looked at the brochere, I could just sign a "NO thanks" card and she woudl still get credit.
I looked and found the prices on a magazine pretty cheap, so I went ahead and ordered one for her - she was thrilled. I gave her a check for $30, filled out the form, and even had a survey form to fill out for her professor - it had his name on it, and the address of USF and the logo and such.
That was january. Checked was cashed the next day - and have yet to get the magazine. Called thei help line and the lady saud it take 120 days PLUS to get a subscription. I said the lady told me only a month, if that - as soon as the check cleared, we woudl received the subscription. She hung up.
I don't know if they will ever send the magazine - bt these people are awful - they make you feel bad about their school work - and are smooth. Beware!
