2008 Power Play Stake is a scam and someone needs to stop it before good people get hurt!

I recieved a letter in the mail from Canada with no return address.inside was letter from First Trust Financial telling me I had won the 2008 Power Play Stake. It said I had won 150K and incolsed was a check for $4,900. The letter said to contact Rob Williams at 1-604-783-5171.

I called the number because I was curious to what this letter was. The man who answered the phone seemed quite friendly and told me I had won the money through a drawing done by Walmart, Cosco, and Home Depot.

The whole thing seemed pretty legit, until my husband told me to look into this whole thing before you put that check in the bank. After about 10 min of research I found that this letter had been sent to many people all over the country (including children).

I called the man back and told him that the check was in the bank (it wasen't) and he told me then to proceed to Walmart and get a moneygram for $2950 and send it to Sue Harker at 1211 E. 39th Ave Toronto, Canada V3T 4HT.

After he gave me the address I asked him one fianl question "So who do I report you to for fruad?" Then man quickly hung up the phone. When I tried to call back he would not answer.

Something needs to be done about this. Who knows how many people fell victim to this man.
