Like so many others, I felt I was helping a young person get ahead with their life when I purchased a magazine subscription from a door-to-door sales-woman. The magazine was to be a Christmas present for my parents but, again like so many others, they never received anything.
I contacted the magazine's subscription department directly and was informed that they had never received my order. Then began the all too common series of trying to contact Second-To-None via phone, mail, and e-mail. I eventually resorted to sending each e-mail multiple times (perhaps in a misguided hope of filling up their e-mail box) which has appeared to work.
After 2 months of this, I just received a check for the full refund including the $10 processing fee. We'll see if I have any better luck than the Florida consumer in actually getting the money once the check gets deposited.
