I called AOL, (which has/had a terrible system to use) I was on the phone for at least 2 hours and canceled my account, or I thought I did. It has been about 2 years since I canceled it out. I now have a collection agency calling and saying I owe them money, for last year!?! Apparently, they NEVER canceled my account! I have been billed for the last 3 years! I should have read my account better, but I figured it was gym fee or whatever-
It has gone to a collection agency. I cannot understand what the woman on the other line was saying/screaming to me. I managed to get AOL's customer service line from Ruth Max, the collector. She told me to call and dispute with AOL. After calling AOL, they told me to call the collection agency. I am getting the run around on an account that I should not owe a DIME to, they should be writing ME a check. This is now reflecting on my credit and no one will help me, not even the customer Service Manager, Ryan, at AOL. He cannot give any other info to me other than his name "Ryan" for security reasons. This is ridiculous!
