I read this ad in the newspaper and thought what the heck give it a call. On the phone they tell you you will be working for HUD - The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. They tell you that you will mail letters to people who have unclaimed money with HUD and anyone who actually claims their money you will get paid 30% of their claim. You buy the envelopes and pay the postage Plus $80 to get involved in the program. They send you a list of names to start contacting plus sample letters you use.
Well in the end: #1 the product is mailed from CANADA thus it took awhile to get here. It did have the listed return address which was never mentioned to me. I assumed this would be coming from HUD. You don't get a list of names you get referred to the HUD website to pull off unclaimed money recipients that you then send these letters to. The claimant is asked to send you the 30% up front, plus signed power of attorney to act as their representative, and you will then help them process their claim??? Like anyone's going to send me money in hopes that they get back triple their money just seemed impossible. If someone answered my letter I would then request the forms from HUD, fill them out, send them in, and pass on the final form to the claimant to send in to get their money.
Wcan stands for Wisconsin Community Advertising Network.in the particular paper I responded to there was a WCAN ad that stated these ads were checked out by their agency??? So again sounding good. Only to find out that basically it's just another company getting these papers "SOME MONEY" by them paying in to participate in this program they then are suppose to place all ads given to them by this agency. This even sounds like a scam company.
