Since I did not know why they would be sending me a letter, I questioned them. They actually had my name spelled wrong. They also had an apartment number on the address (I live in a home). They claimed they could not find my name or address, nor did they have my phone number "in their files." They then asked for my social security number. I refused to give it to them.
When I questioned as to how they got my "name" they said they respresent various credit cards and/or agencies. They told me which ones they have. I do not have any of those. That is when they asked for my social security number so they could see why I am on their "list."
I smell scam.
