Ripoff is not the word for it Flat out FRAUD is more like it Chaska Minnesota

RipOff and fraud cannot even describe my disgust with this company. I did not know about this site until now. Here is my story.

I bought my system back in late The very 1st week I had it it shut down and I needed to contact Viscom tech for support, and as always you are left on hold on the phone sometimes as long as 1 hour and 10 minutes for me. Then as always you get suffled back and fourth they tell you to call software support and then they turn and tell you to call hardware support.

Within 2 weeks I asked for the info pack to return the PC, and was told it would be sent to me in the mail and when received to simply put the labels on the boxes and let UPS return them and I would rdeive a refund. Never happend within the thirty day unconditional return policy. I never received the return kit.

Then after arguing about that they had to send a tech to come and replace the modem. Then they sent a tech to replace the mainboard. Still it did not work properly.

After countless phone calls and wasted time on the phone for hours, one of their tech's really pissed me off.

I told this tech that if he did not choose to help me with the problem that night, (it was about 10:30 PM) that I would be in Chaska, Mn., in the morning with the PC at there doorstep.

The tech laughed at me and said, Yea right, your going to drive all the way out here, I dont think so and hung up on me.

Well guess who was in Chaska, MN., by 5:30 AM with a NO good rotten PC system. I was.

I drove the 300 miles out to Chaska from my home in Wisconsin and I was there waiting for the 1st person to show up. I delt with I think his name was John, a senoir tech, and delt with another guy hire up over him.

They ended up getting the problem resolved and I returned home after having a visit with my sister and brother - in law in Burnsville, Mn. Oh, and going over to the Carver County Court house to get a small claims form from the court. Or rather the reconsiliation court they call it or something like that.

When I returned home with the pc it worked for 4 days and froze up and would not let me do anything at all. So back to the phone calls and the waiting and then the tech's that think they know everything and I new more then some of them.

Anyway after another heated discussion, again I was hung up on by a tech, and again I made another trip to Chaska, MN.

This time they gave me an upgraded New PC and sent me home and was told to call back so they could help me switch over my programs.

When I called for this service I was told, I dont know who told you to call us about helping you get your programs back but we do not do that.

Anyway with my older system, (obsolete within one month of purchase) I had the DVD drive replaced, then at this point I still maitained that I had asked for the unconditional 30 day return within 2 weeks of having the damm thing and they said You have no proof of that, and I replied oh, How are you so sure of that.

I have dated e-mail from at that time ValuVision from Big Mike Davidson stating that he was sorry about the problem and would see to it that someone from customer service will contact you about your return. This e-mail is dated and even has the time sent directly from Mike Davidsons Home page.

I sent alot of e-mails asking for Jim Peterson to return any correspondence and he never did. I called numerous times while the show was on the air but they would never put me thru, LIVE.

Anyway to say the least I contacted I believe the BBB of MN, who then told me to make a complaint with the Attorney Generals office, which I did and Viscom just lied through their teeth to them as well. I intercepted a internal message that was not ment for my eyes to see but I did and it came across in form of an internal e-mail and it said: I have no idea how to handle this person, we cannot get his PC to work properly what should I do. Response: what is the problem with the PC. Response: you know, same as always. Response: just Pack it, ship it, We'll deal with it later. Response: This person is a pest and has personally drove out here twice. Response: So let him drive out here again. Response: O.K. But you can deal with him, not me.

End of e-mails then my e-mail from them came at the bottom stating that my PC would be shipped out the next day.

I recieved it an to no surprize the damm thing froze up within the 1st 24 hours of service.

I can go on and on like this but the point is I to have been ripped off. The damm thing froze up again and I just put it in the corner and bought another system hand built before my eyes so I know excatly whats in it at a cost of $832.00.

Oh did I mention I spent the $189 dollars for the extended 2 year warranty and now they say that it was only for a 1 year warranty, but yet the paper I have states 2 years.

All in all I can just say that I will never again purchase from shopNBC or any other tv proram again. Now I am told that they wont do a thing about it.

Oh and I forgot to mention that when they got real stupid with me and would not help (shopNBC) I told them I would have my payments shut off on my credit card. (I had 2 payments left @ $288.32 per month, but some how one payment was still made so I still owe them $288.32 for the PC and now have this Kris Hall calling me constantly about the last payment and calling me a thief on the phone and terlling me that I am stealing from them. I just tell her to get bent, and that when they come across with the respect and service and do as they are obligated and promised, I may consider making the last payment. She always says well we'll have to come and reposes it then.

I Then tell her well you have my phone number and my address and my answer about the last payment owed, come and get it, but be sure and have a refund check in hand.
