On Thursday February 21 I was looking for a new job when I saw an ad on the Bakersfield Californian website. The ad said Receptionist fun and fast paced office. No exp nec. Start now! 324-4188.
So I called and they scheduled me an interview that day. I went in and interviewed with another girl.
The office was located at 1117 w. Columbus Street by the Foodmaxx. There is no official sign get a paper taped upon the door. The office looked old, the carpets were stained and they were playing really loud music. It looked like they could pack up and leave at any moment. I went through the interview with the boss named Alberto. He convinced me to apply for the management position. He said I should call back at 4 to see if I go on to the next interview.
I made it through and was scheduled to go in to the second interview at 11:50 A.M. On Saturday February 23. I went there were 20-25 people there I was surprised they needed this many people. They took all of us in the back room where we had to take great notes to be picked for what they were looking for. They promised 52,000 dollars a year, paid training, and keys to our own office. After three hours of them talking about this perfume company they said to call them back at a certain time.
When I got home I wanted to research this company so I did and found out it was a scam and big rip off.
I hope no one else falls for this I'm glad I didn't go any further with this rip off!
