Employment scam

There needs to be something done about this company. They are a scam for innocent want to be hard working people who want earn a living, yet they only cover themselves.

I found a interesting job opening on the internet which i was very excited about applying for it. When I called the job, it was through a employment agency to my surprise. The agent, rebuttled and told me that it wasn't like ordinary agencies, that it was a placement for actual fulltime direct hire positions. Well I went ahead and did a brief interview over the phone. She wanted to meet with me, but first, I had to fill out the online application, and email my resume off. I was scheduled the following day for a personal interview. I was not told I had to take a number of tests to begin with.

When I arrived the next day with my hardcopy resume and professional attire on, I was very confident about getting the "so-called" job. I was asked to fill out a W-2 form and complete my application I filled out online, adding personal references. I added 4 references of 4 very good dear friends. (A retired loan officer, a home-maker, a artist relations manager, and a wine distributor company owner). Then I was asked to go to another room to take a small series of tests. (Safety, MS word, etc). I completed and aced all tests. I was then asked to overview with an agent (jessica Jones). I sat and talked to her for awhile, she asked loads of questions about my history, what i want in life, mainly about my career objectives. We completed the so-called interview and I was handed a brocure of the company, and a website to go to, to take a series of more tests (www.proveit.com).

As I was taking the "very difficult" series of tests, they were contacting my references. Not the home-maker, and not the retired loan officer. Why? Because they only want these references to promote their business. Both references they contacted both got a series of questions they had to answer. Only asked very little about me except if they could think of any negative things about me. They asked both references if they would be interested in joining their team. They have no intentions on hiring "everybody". Probably very little to keep their operation in business and only hire their little private staff they got to go to those jobs. I know they have no intentions on hiring me for that fulltime position i applied for. I got suckered into giving them decent peoples information who have jobs that appleone is a potential client for their companies.

I think it is totally wrong and cruel! Something needs to be done about it. When I asked where the job I was applying for was located, they refused to give that information because of the "privacy of the so-called company and their contract with them'! Yeah right! There really wasnt a job like that. I should have known. I haved lived in my town all my life and should have realized there wasnt a showroom floor company around that they were referring to. They need to be asked if they get their kicks off scamming innocent people for their own benefit! There should be a law against that. Or why cant they politely ask us in writing on our applications as an option if we minded if they contacted references for their benefit? No instead they just do it! Wonder how many people actually sign on with them when the poor person who referred them did not get a job! Tsk tsk!
